Nickelodeon shows aired first on Nicktoons

Basically, the Nickelodeon series The Loud House recently had episode(s) aired on Nicktoons.... that has not yet aired/premiered on the main Nickelodeon channel. The episodes in question are "Crystal Ballin'" / "The Most Dangerous Gamer".

I know of at least one other occurrence of a similar scenario occurring, being The Casagrandes episode "Lalo Land" (first aired July 20, 2021 on Nicktoons; first aired December 10, 2021 on the main Nickelodeon channel). According to Wikipedia, this also appears to have occurred with the SpongeBob SquarePants episode "Blood Is Thicker Than Grease" (first aired February 21, 2024 on Nicktoons; first aired July 15, 2024 on the main Nickelodeon channel).

Unfortunately, regarding this latest occurrence, The Futon Critic does not list the recent Nicktoons airing of these episodes. However, as shown here, it was labelled as new, and thus was recorded onto my DVR. I cannot take screenshots of the recording itself due to in-app restrictions, but upon playing the recording, I can confirm 100% that these two episodes were indeed aired and it was not just some guide error where a different set of episodes played.

So what is to be done regarding this case, and any past/future cases of this? Given how this error does not occur plentiful, I don't see this warranting any creation of an alternate list of Nicktoons premiere airings. I would think possibly two ways to deal with this:

1. List the episodes with their Nicktoons premiere dates/times (November 8, 2025 at 03:30/03:45)

2. Wait until these air on the main Nickelodeon channel and list the main Nickelodeon channel premiere dates/times, and add a note explaining that it originally premiered on Nicktoons on November 8, 2025.

 

If not one of those, then how should we go about handling this? It obviously has aired, but not (yet?) on its main/original network (albeit, was likely an error on Nickelodeon's part).

You can use notes if a episode premieres on a sister network first. The airdate wed use however if the episode airs on Nickelodeon later would be the Nickelodeon one.

So in that case, would we add the episode on now using the Nicktoons airdate/time, or leave it off for now until if/when it does actually air on Nickelodeon and do as you said (with Nickelodeon airdate/time + Nicktoons note)?

Until you know it is definitely airing on main Nick you can add the airdate and use the Network Move note. This exists basically because In the UK if BBC One airs sports events in primetime a big chunk of their normal primetime TV moves to BBC Two instead. We add the airdate with a episode note saying this episode aired on this network instead so people can still track it on their watch lists

Alright, feel free to correct as necessary, but how is this and this? I omitted airtimes due to the 'airing after midnight' thing (Bad airdate! Show is scheduled to air on Fridays, but this date is a Saturday. Note that episodes airing after midnight should belong to the previous day's date.) - not sure if that means these two episodes should instead be listed for Friday, November 7 with the 03:30/03:45 airtimes, but again, feel free to correct as needed.

And so if/when these episodes actually air on the main Nickelodeon channel, dates/times are updated to reflect that airing, but should the network move notes be deleted at that point then as well?

I dont now when the show normally airs to put the airtimes in but they shouldn't be missing.

No we wouldn't delete the note wed edit it to point to the original release on the sister network

As shown here, the problem is that it didn't air at its normal airtime, as far as its Nicktoons premiere goes: 03:30/03:45.

So the show doesnt have a normal airtime anyway if its not airing every episode in that slot, id just take that out

Getting back to this now... so the default airtime should be removed entirely? And then again, for those two episodes, what times should be listed if they aired 3:30am/03:45am? And are the network move notes saying, "Originally aired on Nicktoons." good, or should that be changed at all?

If the show always airs two new episodes back to back then it doesnt have a default air time so it should be removed yes. If the episodes aired at that time on NickToons then its correct, wed then edit that into the note if they ever premiere on the main network the show normally airs the new episodes on

Alright, welp, just recently got added to Gracenote for airing on the main network on January 2, 2026. Have already updated the two episodes in questions to their upcoming airdates/times on the main network.

Only thing left is regarding the network move note. It still just currently says, "Originally aired on Nicktoons." - does that get updated to include the Nicktoons airdate/time at all, or just leave it as-is?
