I hope this hasn't been posted before but it would be nice to have a Follow button/icon when hovering over a show so that we don't have to open the page to click on the follow button.

There is one, you need to look closely, it is at the right below corner,a green heart :)

I personally like the follow button the way it is designed on forums and wouldn't mind if that was the same for shows. There are difficulties with the heart as it is currently implemented. For unfollowed shows, It is extremely faint and next to impossible to see on dark covers that anything is there. When it is on a show being followed it turns a darker green, however that doesn't make it much easier to see when it is on a cover that includes a lot of blue (like Big Bang Theory, I can't see it) I know where it is because I was told previously so I can mouse over and wait on the tooltip to verify shows are followed or not if I can't see the heart status, however breaking the follow heart out of the cover and into it's own little box would make it more obvious to new users how it works and easier to see something is followed or not. I know that's how it is when you click into the show but it's easier from search if you don't need to go into the show details or if you're adding all the series of one actor or like all the CSI spinoffs,
