Forum "like" or "heart" button?

I see some suggestions, or some replies to suggestions that I agree with, but spoiled and lazy as we have gotten with social media, I miss a heart-icon, or a thumbs-up-icon.

It might help developers see that some features are more wanted than they first though as well? :)

Agreed. I'd also like some token of agreement, thumbs up, check, smile, etc to show my support of something left by a fellow Glader (cheesy maze pun)

I don't really agree with this idea as I find it much more appreciated once someone send me a thank you by message rather than a Thumbs up/Heart button and to be honest, I really dislike those options as there are plenty of people that are just here on the internet to be negative.

Thomas has apoint here, I also like a thank you msg much more than a thumbs up button, but people on the internet are used to those thumb up buttons, so i think it would be nice to have both options :)

Thank you messages and buttons.

just my 2 cents

Juan

I do see how not getting thumbs up on facebook might hurt peoples feelings, there has been articles about it in spades. But I also feel it would be much easier option here on the forum when you are on the run, and take 30 seconds to read something, and you agree but don't have time to concentrate long enough to write a polite answer.

In a situation like that! :D I would definitely use a button like that. :) *thumbs up*

Edit: And also, there would be less spam in the suggestion threads. If you agree with someone, just like what they wrote, and the admins will determine the right course of action based on statistics more easily. :)

My bad. I was talking about a system like thumbs up or thumbs down like it has on youtube and plenty of other forums, although I don't think it would be a nice addon and I personally just prefer a thank message instead of thse thumbs up. Is it just too hard to take 5 seconds to write a message or are people getting really that lazy? :P

The intention of upvoting suggestions that you agree with is now covered with the creation of the new Pending Features forum: http://www.tvmaze.com/threads/126/what-is-this-for...

With this setup, I don't think it's all too useful anymore to be able to upvote individual forum posts.
