Need some insights on a possible redundant show here

PipoClabursky brought this up in the Edit requests thread:

proposed deletion for:

http://www.tvmaze.com/shows/7180/formula-one-racin...

redundant with:

http://www.tvmaze.com/shows/3455/formula-1

As I am not a racing fan and have very little knowledge about this I like to ask what others think about this.
I already talked with Jaguardog and he delivered some insights to me. The races they are showing are the same as it is the same Championship, what is different are the announcers, the hosts, the interviews around those races.

So do we keep them both or only keep the one that aired first ?

cheers
Juan

Different shows about the same topic broadcasting in a different nation. Should not be deleted.

Though. Any idea if this is only aired in the US & UK, or that almost every country has their own dedicated version of it?

If it's just these two, it could be acceptable to have them both. But we shouldn't have 100 versions of the same sports event just because every country's airing has different commentary.

This airs in almost all countries worldwide :)

Then I think we should only have one. Why have the US & UK version and not all the other 100 versions?

Not sure which of them should be kept though.. any thoughts?

We should keep the one with much more information added :)

Sure, but I mean in general in cases like this, this won't be the last one. Besides sports, events like Eurovision come to mind.

maybe first come first served ?

I can see no other logical approach here...

If one of them airs first, definitely that one! But I assume that they're broadcasted live in most scenarios.

Yes, it is a live broadcast on most countries :)

Here in Belgium we had it on VIER (it can now only be watched if you pay for it).

It started 30 minutes before the race I think with some comments and so and it had a live commenting in Dutch.
It was always with the same host and different guests.

Eurovision is indeed also something that comes in mind.

Just like Tour the France and plenty of other yearly sport events I think?

Here in Belgium we also have (almost weekly) the cyclo cross that's very famous
