WWE Pay-Per-Views ?

Juan you just added in "WWE Pay-Per-Views" and it shows the last date is 18 December 2011 yet the show page does not show a end year it shows NOW which is not correct. Why does it not show a year on it? (Pay-Per-View (1985 - now)

Additionally in case you did not know this the Pay-Per-Views aired on Satellite and Cable only for a huge fee per subscriber upwards of $49.95 near the end of it's run except Wrestlemania which was $59.95. When the WWE went on the Internet with web channel programs and programming they moved all of their major events originally known as Pay-Per-Views to wwe.com and there is a fee to have wwe.com programs & programming of $9.95 a month. When their Major events moved to wwe.com they no longer aired on Satellite or cable in the U.S. and a lot of countries who also have access to their website programs. Therefore a new series of Major events began under the banner of WWE PPV on WWE Network which I personally added to the site on 20 August and have been keeping it updated and maintained ever since. I also added this series and kept it updated and maintained over at Rage up until it Died a slow, terrible and painful death!

This series began airing it's evens on 4 May 2014 which is Season 1, Episode 1 "2014 Extreme Rules - East Rutherford, NJ". The final PPV event on Cable & Satellite was in fact in April 2014 and therefore the end date for the series you added should show 2014, not NOW and not 2011.

If you wish I would gladly look for the names of all the events that aired from January 2012 to April 2014 and add them in for you if you wish?

Actually, WWE PPV events are still carried on cable systems -- even after the rollout of the WWE Network. I'm not sure why anybody would order them as standalone -- but they are still available. Only Dish and DirecTV dropped them. Nearly every cable system still has the traditional way to order PPV events.

Example - for Survivor Series: http://www.wwe.com/shows/howtowatch

Click on the 'Pay-per-View Providers' link and you will see that nearly every major cable company still has them.

Well that is not entirely true as it shows Xfinity on their list which is really Comcast but it's not offered by them in my state of Florida! So either the list is not updated or Xfinity is only in some areas?

It would be great if you can enter the missing events Ron ! :)

it showed "till now" because the show was set to "running", but if it has ended in 2014 and in case you add the missing events, it will show 1985-2014 then.

cheers
Juan

OK, thanks I will add my first chance and I have no clue why I did not remember it needs to show Ended for a year to appear. It must be this sickness I have had for 3 days now, they have no clue what I have yet, x-rays, blood tests etc. last night while i was in the Emergency Room. I think it's effecting my thinking capability a little bit as well?

Really sad to hear you are sick Ron, hopefully they can figure out what it is. Did the x-rays and blood tests all came out as ok/normal ?

cheers
Juan

Yes, that's why they sent me back home to suffer with the pain here with no pain meds.

I'm not sure if some areas don't, although I doubt it. If you go to indemand, you can already see the next PPV is on their upcoming events list. When I put in zip codes for Minneapolis, for example, it shows it available on traditional Comcast PPV.

That's nice, thanks for all your information, as it is greatly appreciated but not available in Florida so I have to go on line besides $9.95 is way better for my budget then $49.95.

Juan, FYI, all missing events have been added as well as a summary and airtime. Wrestling is my middle name since I have been a huge hooked fan for over 50 years!

NP -- I just wanted to update you before the database was changed incorrectly to having them as 'ended' when they are still available through traditional PPV.

If somebody is a fan, I don't know why they would order them the traditional way - but I suppose if somebody only gets a couple a year (say the 2 'big' ones) it comes out as a savings. I imagine people do it the same way as when you order UFC PPV's. One person orders - invites friends over - and collects $5 at the door. Back when I used to follow boxing regularly, that was always the way we would do PPV's. :-)

Juan had already marked it Ended. Besides they now are airing as you say the same events at the same exact time with the exception of maybe a few pre-show and/or post show specials. The site does not allow more than 1 show that is airing the same identical episodes "events" at the same exact time to both be active therefore he correctly Ended the PPV one to keep the other one active! Thus it was NOT changed "incorrectly" as you put it per site policy!
