now i still need to check different other sites to see which shows the networks decided to Ended/Cancelled.
would be nice if i can find that info all here.
perhaps get a notice if one of your followed shows get's Ended.

+1 for this! :-)
+1 too!
I think this feature will be very unreliable as of yet as people tend to set a show to ended, when a new season will return or so.
Why would it be less reliable than the Status data currently available? I haven't seen many shows with a status I had reason to doubt.
Besides, if a show switches to "Ended", then it can always be reverted to "Running" if contradictory information comes around. (Or if the show is resumed, even years later, like X-Files, for example...) And then we could get a similar notice (i.e. that a Followed + Ended show gets into Running status again).
In any case, the status of a show is always to be considered "according to the most recent info available" because it's never really set in stone, and especially between seasons when the show can sometimes stay in TBD status for quite a few weeks/months.

The feature is nice indeed as I like that to be added, however the status of a show is able to be edited by anyone and if a show has been canceled or scheduled to return for a second season, some people might not be up to date about it and set it to an incorrect status, which might inform you wrongly or would result in a notification system of two people keep changing their status all the time (edit war), although it is limited to three changes, it might still become annoying.
Yes, I see the risk, even if i deem it a rather minor one. Worth adressing at any rate, as it could probably be reduced in a number of ways:
-- implementing a rule that sensitive info on a show (status, but it could be extended to other data) cannot be edited by another editor than the last one until a certain time has passed, like a few days. This has inconveniences too, but forces edits to be more carefully considered.
-- adding a comments section for the shows (like there are the individual episodes). That way, "edit wars" could be solved more easily with words rather than frantic clicks :-)
-- adding a new status value, like "Returning" or "Between seasons", so that a user who is (wrongly) intent on getting the show "Ended" just because the season finale has aired, sees a better option and "naturally" makes the better choice (either "Returning/Between Seasons" if he's sure, or "TDB" if nothing is set yet...)

That last point is not necessary. We can create a new season if it has been renewed and if dates (years or month or both are confirmed) are filled in, It will show running; returning in 2016 (or march 2016 for example if both filled in), however not many people are aware of it as of yet.
Ah, yes, you're right, I've seen that on a few shows' pages. Yet that means that as long as there are no episodes and/or no dates for the new season, it will just say "Running", not discriminating between "in season" or "returning"/"between seasons". Have I got that right?
Yep, however usually when a tv channel renewed their series, they usually give us an estimated date, which u can use. It will already appear if you add a year.
Damn, I have just such a case where it's not really that:
The show Vicious was considered Ended. On December 18th it was anounced that a new one-off special was commissioned and would air at some point in 2016. But no information on a (still possible in fact) new season.
So obviously the show is not "Ended" anymore, hence the dit to "Running", yet there's no new season to fix a date, and the new special one-off has no precise date yet (nor any definitive title announced...).
That falls just in the wrong place. Well, there should be more info in January so I'll update it then...

Thx for that info and yes "running" is correct then :)
