API Rules

Apologies if I've missed something I just want to make sure of something before using TVMaze fully as a source.

Do you mind hotlinking of images back to yourselves? Or should images be downloaded to a separate server? I suppose this also goes for other data, such as show information; should shows be checked via the JSON API and then mirrored onto my own server or is it okay to connect?

Fair question, I'll add a bit of information about this to the API page later.

You're free to hotlink to our images and load data from our API on-demand. Of course whenever possible (for example if you're building a website embedding our data) you'll get better performance if you cache the data locally. Feel free to ask here about suggestions in that area :)

Thanks for the update. I'm using TVDB as well (but they have issues with you hotlinking) so I'm hoping to use their identifiers and get images/extra information around cast from yourselves.

Thanks

Is it possible to lookup episodes in the same way? :)

No, sorry. But in 99% of the cases (for all but a few notorious shows such as American Dad) you should be fine with comparing the combination of season number + episode number.
