Kamen Rider and Super Sentai

Hello,

we reverted the titles that were locked, the rest was always English, to change them is an insane amount of work for those two shows, if you got some spare time , feel free to start with it :)

cheers

Juan

Thanks! I've been trying to keep a cadence fleshing out 1-2 seasons a day (official title, gallery complete w/ all official screencaps going so far as to dig behind HTML and use Web Archive for deleted season websites to pull them, description (official if possible for licensed seasons)). Although I won't be able to sustain that cadence forever, probably. Once whenever the bible policy changes or the feature changes to support multiple languages for episode titles I should be much quicker to put the titles into English as I won't have to dig around w/ HTML and Web Archive. :)

Thx a lot for your contributions :)

You better put those episode titles back up in English. That should not be allowed.

Right now he is correct according to our policy, no official source uses English titles, we researched it, but we will make a decision on this next month within staff :)

Are you kidding me? No one understands Japanese. It's either in English or I'm out!

The staff will make a decision on that next week I hope, I will also vote for English titles.

 "No one understands Japanese."

This is a massive disservice to the millions upon millions of Japanese speakers who have tuned into the show on TV Asahi over the last 40+ years and all the blood, sweat, and tears put into making the shows by people whose native language is Japanese. Not to mention the fact that there are no less than three official websites for this show in Japanese (TV Asahi, Toei, Super-Sentai.net), and none in English. The list goes on.

Let's not claim to be fans or whatever while whitewashing the primary viewership and people who make the shows/movies, yeah? We can be better than that.

Any frustration energy should be put into an actual solution like into forums asking for TV Maze to support official language and unofficial English localization rather than whitewashing shows. TV Maze has AKA for the show title to support multiple languages... would make sense to expand it out to episode titles (and hopefully summaries) so that (occasionally bad) unofficial localization doesn't trump official native language titles if only a single ep title field is available.

I apologize for the rant. It's just the changes I have to get used to. So I am sorry. I was wrong.
