Jeopardy! UK

Magitroopa posted 7 months ago

Regarding the upcoming UK version of Jeopardy!... I know there is this article saying it is premiering on October 23, but are we sure that is accurate? I'm not super knowledgeable on all UK information/sources for TV shows, but I'm not seeing any listing for the show on this guide.

CosmicHowl posted 7 months ago

Looks like it's slipped in the schedules and won't be airing in October so I've updated the show.

Magitroopa posted 7 months ago

Alright, thanks. I honestly didn't know if I was missing something or not, but I was like, "There seems to be a lack of photos/videos (apart from that 1 picture of Fry on the set) for something premiering in a couple of days..." lol

Jeopardy/WoF future seasons

Magitroopa posted a year ago

I don't really think we should be adding the episode order for the future seasons of these two shows... even though the episode order is typically the same (ex: Jeopardy! is usually 230 episodes each season), we shouldn't add these in for upcoming seasons until we know for sure. Anything can happen with those years from now- for example, COVID made season 36 of Jeopardy! only 190 episodes long, and with the writer strike ongoing, it could affect the next season(s) depending on how long it lasts, so it's definitely possible that 230 might not even happen.

Episode orders can be added before or after a season has aired and are always subject to change.

BGT poster deletion

Magitroopa posted a year ago

Not sure why you believe the poster I uploaded is fanmade- I got it from Zap2it, which also uses this image. There is also this from the official BGT website on ITV.

CosmicHowl posted a year ago

It was the Poster that was deleted - not the background image which you've linked. It's fanmade because they have taken the background image, cropped it into a 2:3 format and added the logo. You can easily tell as there is half a leg on the bottom left of the image.

Magitroopa posted a year ago

The poster is coming straight from Zap2it, however. I'm not sure why they did a poor job cropping it, but it is the poster used on there.

Update: Same image also used on Google Play.

CosmicHowl posted a year ago

UK broadcasters don't always create show posters so many websites like Zap2it create their own unofficial posters. The image you added is from last year and one of the presenters has since been replaced. There will be a new 2023 poster for BGT from ITV in a few days which I'll add when it's been released.

Joey season 2 - will not add airdate/release date

CosmicHowl posted a year ago

An error message should appear in the green box at the top saying "Some of the attributes can't be edited by all user levels because they're protected or have been changed too many times, indicating an editing conflict. This affects: Airdate (3 edits)." That is why any changes to the date won't save.

The airdates for these episodes should be blank as they never aired on NBC.

'Live' franchise relations

Magitroopa posted a year ago

Any reason the show relations were removed from all the Live shows? Are they not connected?...

Magitroopa posted a year ago

Just saw your reason here about, "Not parent show".

Then shouldn't the parent show be made so they can all be connected again? Not entirely sure what that would be, as Wikipedia lists Live with Regis, Live with Regis and Kathie Lee, and The Morning Show as the predecessors to Live with Regis and Kelly.

CosmicHowl posted a year ago

Exactly that reason. The parent show isn't listed on TVmaze so would need to be created. As it needs some research it's a bigger job that I'd planned to look at later.

Magitroopa posted a year ago

From quickly doing some research, I'd say The Morning Show would not be the parent show and Live with Regis and Kathie Lee should be the parent show. Apparently Kathie Lee joined TMS and as Wikipedia puts it, "Their chemistry proved to be successful as The Morning Show soon became number 1 in the market and went on to debut in national syndication on September 5, 1988, when the title was changed to Live with Regis and Kathie Lee."

Some additional links for help on this:

https://d23.com/a-to-z/live-with-regis-and-kathie-lee-television/

https://d23.com/walt-disney-legend/regis-philbin/ - "Regis next co-hosted KABC-TV’s local morning talk show A.M. Los Angeles before moving back east to take over WABC-TV’s The Morning Show. There, he eventually paired up with Kathie Lee Gifford. In 1988, Buena Vista Television picked the show up for national syndication and re-titled it Live with Regis and Kathie Lee, a name that lasted until Gifford departed in 2000."

https://people.com/tv/history-of-live-hosts-regis-philbin-kelly-ripa/

Should also be noted that the last article is from today (due to today's news) and says, "As Live says goodbye to Ryan Seacrest, look back at the history of the daytime talk show, which premiered in 1988"

So it sounds like they consider Live with Regis and Kathie Lee the start of the series/franchise as well.

Parent show has now been added and the relationship created for the Live with... shows.
