I'm pretty sure they are shooting season 38 right now.  

This episode marks Drake Hogestyn's final appearance on the show.  Hogestyn's scenes were filmed in February 2024 and Hogestyn was unable to film again due to his diagnosis of pancreatic cancer which he would pass from on September 28, 2024.

This episode marks the final appearance of Bill Hayes as Doug Williams.  Hayes passed away in January.  The show will address Doug's passing later in 2024.
