The son of David Whele, William served as Vega's Principate. Specifically, he was the religious leader of the Church of The Savior, the religion that has grown since the Extermination War all based around the concept of "The Chosen One." However, William was secretly loyal to Gabriel, archangel and enemy of mankind, an alliance that got him banished from Vega. William gives new meaning to the term "inferiority complex," between his pining for Claire and his deep desire for father David's acceptance.
