Pilot

When Liz Ortecho reluctantly returns to her tourist-trap hometown of Roswell, New Mexico, she reconnects with Max Evans, her teenage crush, who is now a Roswell police officer. But Liz soon discovers a shocking truth: Max is an alien who has kept his unearthly abilities hidden his entire life, along with those of his otherworldly sister, Isobel, and their friend Michael. Elsewhere, Master Sergeant Jesse Manes spearheads a long-standing government conspiracy — unbeknownst to his son, Alex Manes, who has recently returned from service overseas with emotional and physical injuries. The politics of fear and hatred that run rampant in Roswell threaten to expose Max and his family and could endanger his deepening romance with Liz…as well as their lives.

Episode Discussion

If I want to be preached to, I'll go to a church. The first number of episodes are more preachy than entertaining which, IMHO, means the writers are incompetent. If you can't construct an entertaining show that subtlety, quitely, under the radarly delivers a message then find a new profession or work for Faux News. The original was far, FAR better.

This is nowhere near as good as the original was. And the complete politics and ethnicity changes are the biggest turnoff of all. The high-horse attitude of people who have no business having that "I'm better than you even tho I'm an illegal" attitude are also a major turnoff. As much as I adore Nathan Parsons and really like Michael Trevino, this is a definite NO for me. I'll stick to the original with none of the above crap in it tyvm.

Not enough science nor ufology. Mostly flat lines and bad scripts after 4 episodes. Feels like a dud.
