I spent an unhealthy amount of time wishing for Deluca's death. Primarily because he started as a potential thorn in Jo/Alex relationship then then he became Meredith's love interest and his whole existence revolved around his relativity to her. I've put enough mileage on the joints in my wrist highlighting my hatred for such characters so I won't bother here. But once the manic stuff started and Meredith went into her coma and we got to see Deluca as an individual character, I began to like him. Sad he had to go just when he was getting good.
Now if we could just find a way to kill Schmidt.
