Filter Calendar (+Schedule?) to My Followed Networks/Channels

I'd like to see a simplified Calendar view, by only listing shows/air-dates for the channels/networks you are following (and maybe save/remember the current filter setting).

Similarly, there doesn't seem to be a way to make the Schedule page list just the channels you are following (although that page seems a bit flaky in general, it doesn't list everything and seems to skip forwards/backwards by unpredictable amounts of time).

We currently do have two filters for our calendar, which shows 'Most popular shows' or Shows you are following. In case you want to save your current filter settings, it could be adjusted here; http://www.tvmaze.com/dashboard/preferences or simply click on the down button next to your name in the right top corner, click on dash board and there is a tab with site preferences.

In case you were referring to our schedule, the schedule will mark the shows you are following if they premiere, although our schedule might need to receive a bit of improvement like you said.

Thanks, yeah I saw those settings.

The issue I face (which I pictured my suggestion above would address) is where a show I've selected to follow is airing on a network/channel which is not available to me. So it may sometimes be multiple series/seasons ahead, and clutter my calendar page with air dates for episodes I can't watch yet. This happens often when shows air in one country before another. It obviously worsens the more shows you follow too.

Hence the suggestion to add a filter which would only shows episodes airing on 'My Followed Networks/Channels'. I've already picked all the channels/networks I'm interested in / have available to me. Since that functionality & information is already present, I would guess it's feasible to add a filter based on it?

Hi Pudsy,

I agree that it would be useful to have the option to display what's airing on the networks you're following. The schedule is probably the only page that hasn't received any major updates since the launch of the site. We intend on expanding the functionality the way you're describing it. It's been added and up for voting in the pending features. The higher it gets, the more priority we'll give it.

Thinking about it some more, the same filter would be handy on the "Watch List" page. There's no point in that page prompting me to mark episodes as watched which are airing multiple seasons ahead, on channels I don't have access to.

In fact, it would probably make sense to apply such a filter site-wide.

I'm also a bit confused why the "Calendar" is missing some airings, and don't know if it's related...

eg. "NCIS" series 13 is listed each Wednesday (I don't see a way to find out which channel it's pulling that from), but series 12 is not listed on a Friday (recently started airing each Friday on Channel 5 in UK).

If the Calendar were filtered by my "followed" channels, I don't know if that would fix it...? Or maybe Calendar only shows the most recent/current series of each show? In which case, it would be good to be able to also opt to view all previous series on the Calendar too. Although that would probably necessitate another option to hide all episodes you've marked as "watched", to avoid overloading the Calendar page (which isn't a bad idea in itself anyway). So I guess that's another 2 suggestions! ;) Maybe I should have put them in their own threads...

Pudsy, TVMaze only lists the global premiere for each episode and doesn't store any information about other countries' premiere dates so there's no way that the schedule can show series 12 of NCIS on Channel 5 on a Friday (even if they only showed followed channels).

If you want to vote for the feature to of multiple airdates, you can follow this thread: http://www.tvmaze.com/threads/128/support-for-prem...
