What is the easiest way to get the current episode of a show. Meaning the last episode that was shown not the next (upcoming episode).

You can also see the previous and next episode on any given show page.

I need this for the API. When grabbing the show with http://api.tvmaze.com/shows/1. I have links to the next and previous episode. But I would like to know what episode was the latest one to be shown. I could do some logic on other API calls like 'Show Episode List' http://api.tvmaze.com/shows/1/episodes. I was just wondering if there was a way to do this easily with some API call I'm not aware of.
Isn't "previous episode" exactly what you want? It's always the last episode that has aired.
