Not familiar with the content of the series so I can't really make the call ...

- Holmes site calls it a new series starting with season 1

- DIY doesn't even seem to acknowledge anything new and/or special

Sounds to me like another Scripps' "extended expanded" bullshit. More information from somebody who actually watches it is necessary though. Does it really fall under policy's Extended versions of a show with a runtime that's at least 25% longer (of actual footage - not commercials) than the original (like "QI XL")? If not, delete and ignore.
