Sorry to reply to a nearly dead thread with an almost unrelated issue, but this screen capture shows the ability to edit the external ids for an existing show... When googling for a reason why I am unable to add/edit external id's to an existing show, this thread popped up.
Is there something a new user, such as myself, needs to do before I am able to edit the external ids of shows? I rely on those fields to be populated for the use in Ombi via the API. An example is:
https://www.tvmaze.com/showexternal/view?id=51900 should have tvdbid = 391951
I would love to be able to edit these external ids so that my program doesn't require manual intervention all the time. I'm sure i'm not the only user affected either, so making the content better is just helpful for everyone.

Just to clarify, only curating contributors and higher can edit the externals.
