SSL cert error since two hours ago: [SSL: CERTIFICATE_VERIFY_FAILED] certificate verify failed: certificate has expired

DickKluis wrote 4 years ago: 2

Getting this error accessing the premium APIs that have been working for 5 months since about 2 hours ago.

Request exception: HTTPSConnectionPool(host='api.tvmaze.com', port=443): Max retries exceeded with url: /v1/user/follows/shows/50323 (Caused by SSLError(SSLCertVerificationError(1, '[SSL: CERTIFICATE_VERIFY_FAILED] certificate verify failed: certificate has expired (_ssl.c:1123)'))) for: https://api.tvmaze.com/v1/user/follows/shows/50323

Can anybody help?

api.tvmaze.com SSL certificate indeed expired few hours ago. @Jan @david

Heh. Looks like Letsencrypt is broken. The renewal is failing with a "Validations for new domains are disabled in the V1 API" error, while it obviously doesn't concern a new domain here. :-/

I'll see what I can do.

Yeah, indeed weird that they somehow call it a new domain. Good luck.

Think I found a workaround for now. Anyone still have problems?

Thanks David.   It is working for me again.
