Pin the Edit Requests Thread

AX1E wrote a year ago: 3

I've noticed that many new threads with small edit requests are opened and users having to refer them to the main Edit Requests Thread.

https://www.tvmaze.com/threads/5549/delete-josh-devane
https://www.tvmaze.com/threads/5547/lassie-1954
https://www.tvmaze.com/threads/5545/full-custom-garage-season-8-incorrect-repeat-of-season-6

That's why I think the Edit Requests Thread should be pinned on the Forums to make it easier to find.

Maybe you can put it on the left side below/above "Bugs, Suggestions, Data, Chat, API, Pending Features" with a big icon and a small description.

How are you viewing the forum? I'm on a desktop machine and there is an "Active Threads" list. the Edit Requests thread is never more than two or three posts down in the list.

yes mostly it is, but he meant to pin it visible on top forever :)

Yes, I know. My point was it's easily visible even without a pin. Which was why I was wondering how they access the site. If that list isn't as visible on mobile devices, I can see an argument for pinning the thread.

We also have to take into account that the same users are told time and again to use edit requests and simply don't. It's never going to go away whether its pinned or not.

I'm also not convinced this would make a lot of difference. I don't think finding the Edit Requests thread is the problem (indeed, it's always listed very high up under Active Threads; and it's pinned on top in the Data forum), but rather that people just don't understand that Edit Requests should be used in these cases.
