CBS had two summer drama premieres last week, Blood and Treasure and the final season of Elementary. For summer shows, both opened well, Elementary picked up about where it left off at the end of its last season. NCIS wrapped another season at the top of the ratings chart, proving after sixteen years it's still the most watched drama on the network.

ABC closed out it comedy slate last week. The network had a strong showing with its Live in Front of a Studio Audience special. The ratings pulled up the finale episode of Whiskey Cavalier enough that the network gave brief lip service to a second season consideration.
