Watch Making a Murderer

91630.jpgYou won't regret it. Seriously. If you don't know anything about 'Making a Murderer', which is understandable, check out the trailer before. But please, give this show some of your time because it is exceptional and chilling and I'm only on episode 4. Also, whatever you do, do not Google the main characters within this show. I haven't but I can imagine it would spoil a lot of what has yet to be revealed within the show.

My oh my, that trailer is chilling. Just watching it now, knowing what I know, still gives me chills.

If you liked True Detective, Season 1, I will act like Season 2 never happened, The Jinx, Serial, and any other true crime/procedural, I think this show will me right up your alley. His story sounds fictional and the thing that gets me is it isn't. I don't know the outcome of the trial or what is going on with Steve Avery right now and I'm letting this documentary reveal that to me, but I'm in. I'm in until the very end. It's astounding that Netflix managed to grab one up and
just goes to show what a powerhouse this company is becoming.

Much like the Jinx I don't know if this story has a conclusion, which I'm okay with, and I'm not even sure if I would agree with that conclusion, necessarily. Which just goes to show how great of a show this is and what a fantastic find for Netflix. It's controversial, it gets people talking, and it's being released at a time when individuals are truly interested in criminal justice.

So please, join me on this journey. Because if you like a number of shows that I enjoy, you'll probably enjoy this as well.

Watched all or some of it? What did you think? Let me know in the comments and keep it spoiler free please!

This is disgusting. The state police are culpable in this conspiracy as well for allowing the crooked sheriff's department to be on the scene. It is so scary that this is going on in our country. I wouldn't dare step foot in Wisconsin. The police, DA, and crooked defense attorney in that county should all be in Federal prison!! Even more troubling, that no upper court recognized the corruption and evidence presented to give these guys another trial. It seems to me this was retaliation, enacted to preserve the jobs and reputations of the police. It is scary to think how many times this may have happened. Bless the hearts of the innocent.

I, like most people I know who have seen this documentary, and they are many, binge-watched this series! It would be great to open a thread on this series for people who have already watched it. This truly is a must see series shedding light on the human aspect of the American criminal justice system.

Making a Murderer is awsome entertainment but as a duco it is awful, manipulative and misleading.

This was a gripping real life story, filmed over the course of 10 years. Viewers may a nudge to get past the first 2-3 episodes, however it will be worth it for most, and you will not need any prompting for the rest. The series presents a real look at our criminal justice system, that for many is not a 'justice system', rather it is 'just a system'. Probably the most important aspect of the series, for me anyway, is this, if this can happen to him, it can happen to you (or me). Everyone needs to pay close attention to what in fact does happen to people, If you are truly innocent, you have nothing to worry about is about as far from the truth as anything.
