📺 The TV TribeÂ
Here's the thing about TV tracking: Anyone can build a database. Anyone can list episodes. Anyone can create a calendar.
But that's not what matters.
Because what we're really doing here is building a tribe. A community of people who care. People who show up not because they have to, but because they want to.
Ten years ago, TVmaze didn't start with a business plan.Â
It started with a question: "What if TV fans had a place that was truly theirs?"
Not a corporate platform. Not an AI aggregator. Not another soulless database.
A place where real humans connect over the stories that matter to them.
Marketing would tell us to focus on features:
- Speed
- Ad-free browsing
- Privacy
- Smart calendars
- Custom feeds
But features don't create movements. People do.
In a world of artificial everything, authenticity is the ultimate premium feature. While others optimize for algorithms, we optimize for humans. While others scale through automation, we scale through connection.
This is about more than tracking TV shows. It's about belonging.
Here's something remarkable: In a decade where everything seems to get more expensive by the day, we've never raised our Premium prices. Not once in ten years. A Bronze membership still costs the same as it did in 2014: €36 per year.
Why? Because we believe in removing barriers, not building them. That's why we're offering Premium at 50% off. Not because we need to compete. Not because the market demands it. But because barriers to entry shouldn't stop someone from joining their tribe.
The real cost isn't the subscription price. The real cost is not being part of something bigger than yourself.
âš¡ Yes, there's a price:
- Regular: €36/year (unchanged for 10 years!)
- Black Friday Special: Just €18/year with code BF-2024
But here's the truth: The price is just a detail. For less than the cost of a single movie ticket, you get a year of:
- Ad-free browsing
- Enhanced privacy
- Premium calendars
- Bulk episode marking
- Early access to new features
- And most importantly: being part of something bigger
Our members say it best:
"Finally, a platform that listens" isn't about features.Â
"Worth every penny" isn't about money.Â
"Clean, fast, reliable" isn't about technology.
It's about belonging.

The choice is yours. You can track TV shows anywhere. But there's only one place where your voice helps shape the future of how we experience television together.
The question isn't whether you watch TV. The question is: Where's your tribe?
Â
When I first joined this community of tv addicts 9 years ago, I'd never contributed anything to any other site. I didn't track what I watched, or even care that much to even want to!
I honestly have no idea why or how I found this site, as I wouldn't ever use such a thing, right?Â
Yeah, right!Â
Something just clicked inside me that made me want to start contributing.Â
I think it was when I went looking for old UK shows that I used to watch & because you were a relatively new site, there wasn't a whole lot to find.Â
Well, I couldn't have that, so I started to request more and more UK stuff to be added, and then I would fill in the missing info that I could.
Because there was so much, the staff here soon began to notice me as I took great delight in continuing to flood the site with the UK shows I used to love.
Yes, it has taken me time to climb the ranks of staff here & yes, I've been told off more than once for doing something incorrectly, lol. That's all part of the learning process!
Now, I cannot think of a reason not to continue to contribute to this wonderful site and get to know its wonderful community of fellow tv addicts.
Of course, none of this would be possible without @david & @Jan creating tv maze in the first place & I thank them both for continuing to add new features and fix little bugs we occasionally find, but it really is a global effort from everyone that contributes to this site that makes it what it is today.
We honestly, could not maintain and run the site without everyone's help & for that, I thank you ALL!Â
Here's to the next 10 years!
