Sidney is the Maintenance Director for the school campus, second in command for Miss Courtney's night school program. He is depicted as an English Stereotype, complete with Cockney Accent, and Western High Society's bad habits of alcohol consumption, theft, and illegitimate business practices. A running gag is when Mr. Brown is arrested with his students because of good faith misconduct, Sidney is already at the police station waiting for him. Sidney also is an imcompetent maintenance director, as he frequently loses the keys to the campus. Sidney is married to a lady that had a child together. This child became a foundling because both of them were unemployed. Mr. Brown, a foundling himself, believed for a while that Sidney is his father, until Sidney told Mr. Brown that their child is their daughter.
