A witch and leader of the Boston Coven, Ruth is strategic and, like Jeremy, has had to sacrifice love and personal freedom for her leadership position. She keeps a strict adherence to the rules of The Coven, which mirror those of The Pack: Maintain the secrecy of their kind, limit relationships with humans, and put the sanctity of The Coven above all else. However, over the course of the season, Ruth realizes these rules may prove to be the undoing of The Coven.
