Born in Haiti, Guerdy Abraira moved to Paris with her family as a toddler before relocating to Miami at age 9. It was in the Magic City where she discovered her passion for hosting and event design, ultimately turning it into a powerhouse career. Guerdy founded her own event planning and design firm on the exclusive Fisher Island in Miami Beach, earning recognition as one of Harper's Bazaar's Top Planners in the World and a coveted spot on Vogue's list of Best Wedding Planners across the U.S., Canada and beyond.
Because of her estrogen-positive breast cancer diagnosis, Guerdy had no choice but to undergo a hysterectomy to lower her body's estrogen production, placing her into medical menopause much earlier than she would have entered it naturally. That experience led her to become an advocate for women's wellness, including joining forces with Addyi, the only FDA-approved pill designed to boost women's sexual desire. Her involvement is deeply personal, navigating the emotional and physical toll of medical menopause firsthand, she's now on a mission to break the stigma and help women reclaim their confidence, intimacy, and pleasure after cancer.
Guerdy is also a partner in Ring My Belle, an on-demand beauty service, and Miami Alkaline Water, a company innovating water quality through advanced filtration and hydrogen-infused products. She lives in Florida with her two sons and husband Russell, her high school sweetheart. They've been married for 22 years and together for 30.
