Initially a purposeless background character at Elmore Junior High, Rob was eventually banished into The Void for being an anomaly in the universe. After he was accidentally abandoned by Gumball and Darwin within the dimension, he was forced to escape precariously on his own terms, resulting in his glitchy and polygonal disfiguration. Upon escaping, he found a role to play in the narrative by becoming Gumball and Darwin's mortal enemy. Eventually, he discovered that the universe would be erased by the Void, but his efforts to save everyone went unheeded.
