Alice Harding

Alice is the daughter of Ozais Harding who moves to skelthwaite with her father when he invests in the factory. Unlike her father though she quite likes the town and tries to get to know the people there. However Ozais has managed to alienate almost everyone within a few days meaning she is left out in the cold.

Nathan befriends her just for revenge for what Ozias has done to his father and grandfather. However he sees the error of his ways and falls for her but refues to tell his family about them. This leads Alice to have a makeover and attract the interest of Joe as well. Alice can't seem to pick between them and both turn there back on her.

However when Ozias fires Joe for just talking to Alice this sends Alice over the edge and she turns against her father saying that her dead mother wouldn't had stood for Ozais's behaviour either. When Ozias suffers a brain aneurysm Nathan supports Alice and not only do they get back together, Ozias pulls through and he and Alice reconcile and Ozias sees the error of his ways.

In the next series Alice and Nathan break up over his graffiting of the factory and her attention turns to Joe who has moved in as a lodger with her and Ozias. She and Joe start seeing each other but face disapproval from Ozias. However he accepts the relationship.

In series 10 Alice has left Skelthwaite. As Joe has left as well we presume they were still together but there was no mention of either character again!
