Det. Derek Nolan

Nolan is a by-the-book guy who thinks P.I.s are a pain in the ass – trampling on evidence, confusing witnesses and wasting his time. Time which he'd rather spend putting bad guys in jail. He has a chip on his shoulder about the idea of an ex-pro athlete thinking he could pair up with Angie and be an effective detective. This doesn't sit well with Nolan at all. To him, a civilian is someone who should stay behind the crime scene tape, not get mixed up in his cases.
