As Oliver is held underwater, he remembers killing Adrian's father and all the other men that he killed. Adrian pulls him out of the water and explains that his father struggled underwater for 145 seconds until he died. The arrow pierced his aorta arch but it didn't kill him. He was conscious enough to drown.
