Well this was a MASSIVE let down. The story was meant to be about the first mission to Mars, but it was not. It was about the lives of the family's and all the existential crap that goes along with it. The story about going to Mars was secondary at best. Even if there is a second season, I for one will not be watching it. It's a shame because I really like Sean Penn and he was really good in this. But this show is at best 6/10.
After watching all eight episodes, I am overwhelmed about the script...and not in a good way. I loved the images and the technology used in the story, but the script was lacking of important information...and seemed to focus more on insignificant details. I'm not so sure that I'd watch a Season 2, if it is to be written/edited the same way as Season 1. The first 4m21s of this episode were a TOTAL waste of time and the most annoying sound effect (what's with the rotary phone and this total stranger have to do in this story???) On a side note, all actors did a fantastic job.
