Missionaries of Death. So far, not too impressed. The description mentions a cult and that's easy to pick out in the very beginning. Shows a room with all sorts of statues/idols from all sorts of backgrounds. Some look slightly Catholic, others native and the questioning reveals that the Chosen One is hardly of god of mercy. Then we meet the doctors and there's not much improvement there. Nothing but continuous bickering amongst the doctors who should be intelligent and dedicated enough to realize their behavior is boorish. Even a fat, old granny has to admit that Mateus is easy on the eyes and appears, at first glance, to be more rational than the other villagers. However, it soon becomes evident that Mateus is wearing one of the crosses with the snake tail and soon we discover that he is the only person who can interpret what the Chosen One demands of the people. That's always a danger when people believe in rules or deity who does not speak directly to its followers.
