In 1929, a local scientist delivers a mysterious present to newlyweds, with the note "Don't Open Till Doomsday" on it. The groom Harvey Jr. disappears shortly thereafter, and his bride Mary waits over 35 years until a new set of newlyweds comes along.

At a manor house in 1929, Dr. Mordecai Spazman arrives carrying a present. He rings the bell and gives the present to the butler, Justman, saying that it's for the newlyweds. Once the butler takes it and closes the door, Mordecai walks away. In the bridal suite, groom Harvey Kry Jr. enters the bridal suite.
