The summer draws to an end and the guests prepare to travel back home. Madsen steadfastly refuses his wife's wish to back away from the construction of the airport in Aalborg for the Germans, while Weyse considers saying yes to the Danish-German cultural society in order to protect his job at the theatre. However, when Amanda straightforwardly rejects the German Lieutenant's advances, it leads a chain of events that turns every plan upside down.
