Paladin rides into a small Texas town and finds a young couple in need of a room so that the wife can deliver her body. However, the only saloon in town is filled up with drunken cowboys celebrating Christmas Eve and having no interest in helping.

On Christmas Eve, a cold and tired Paladin rides into a Texas town and enters the local saloon. The customers are celebrating Christmas, and Paladin stumbles over one passed-out customer.
