Detectives McCarren and Rado have been assigned to provide protection for Eddie Cooper, a charismatic movie star whose life is under threat. Special guest star Leigh McCloskey portrays Eddie Cooper, whose presence inadvertently disrupts Nick and Jack's holiday plans. After successfully resolving a complex case involving an armed assailant, the undercover detectives yearn for a much-needed escape. However, their plans are thwarted when Captain Kiddle tasks them with the responsibility of safeguarding Cooper.
