The erratic way the characters behave is still a weak point. One smart sentence after the other (grown-up conversation) and then stupid things in the next. Hopper going from understanding to obnoxious from one scene to the other, listening in one and stubborn in the next, smart in one and then stupid. Characters and dialogue are too black and white, I think that's the series' weakest point.
Okay, even though there are some dumb choices and flaws, I think this is a fine episode, the strongest of the season.
For me, the best thing about this season has definitely been Holly and Max, mainly because they are the only two people who can act. I also liked that scene between them, but come on, Max should have had that conversation with her before reaching that crucial moment. If anyone knows the danger that exists on both sides, at all times, and that every second counts, it's her.
I enjoyed this one... and a lot of people are whining about thatbreak-up ... but come on... that felt like a break-up ! Also the Sam/Holly-long wait scene ...was also okay because they didn't knew the urgency on the other side. So a lot of the hate is for clicks.
The only thing is... it feels that a lot of answers came to late... like thewormhole reveal could have been in season 4.
14 year old Nell Fisher is quite impressive this season playing a very demanding character. Someone we will be be seeing in various parts for many years to come.
