Lol! I literally went to IMDb to see how many episodes Jon Beaver was in to see if we at least get to see him in any flashbacks.
It pays to be listed as main cast.
I love this episode. I've watched it about 4 times now. It's just so well done and quite deep in some scenes. The overall snapshot of Billy's life is so poignant. I'm really going to miss this character.
I reckon it's probably Jane that killed the President. She was down for the security room duty that night.

maybe on some future episode they will explain if it was a meteor strike or an apocalyptic nuclear war, if I had to guess it was a meteor....
