Vergeltung

A delivery van crashes into a busy café in the heart of Merano, and the driver escapes unidentified. A political attack? An act of personal revenge? Or a blackmail warning from criminals? "Capo" Sonja Schwarz (Chiara Schoras) investigates all possibilities. Tensions arise with her partner Jonas (Gabriel Raab) due to an unusual witness who "happens" to be at the scene of the crime: Sonja's former police colleague Mike Gerber (Hendrik Duryn), with whom she was also close in her private life during her time in Frankfurt. "Frau Commissario" would prefer to keep her former affair out of the case – especially since she feels attracted to Mike again. However, Sonja notices that he is still preoccupied with a closed case from their time together on the force. A journalist (Dirk Borchardt), who is staying at the winery to write a promotional story about Sonja's three-woman business with her daughter Laura (Charleen Deetz) and mother-in-law Katharina (Lisa Kreuzer), is also not playing with open cards. When Sonja finds out from Mike who the guest really is, a dangerous game of nerves begins.
