Karl and the police force investigate the murder of a man found dead at the bottom of his staircase. During their investigation, Karl's team discovers an item at the scene of the crime that may be linked to other murders. Karl warns Cassandra to stay out of the case, but her connection to it makes her unable to stop.

The characters were a bit shallow in the first season but the writing got worse. Quite out-of-character responses, very simple dialogue, childish conclusions and not waiting for the other to finish their sentences to create a fight or confusion or to resolve a fight, etc. Very cheap writing techniques Entertaining but shallow.
Chief Alberg was more fun in "Keeper"!
Nice that they found this 25 year murderer b/4 Fox cancels the show. Don't give a flyin fig whether Cassandra says yes or not. Hopefully she will have said no so Karl could dodge a giant bullet.
