It's the issue at the center of the government shutdown: subsidies for ACA healthcare plans that expire at the end of the year which will send premiums soaring for millions of Americans. Democrats want to negotiate an extension for the subsidies before voting to reopen the government and now GOP Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene also says something needs to be done. NBC News' Christine Romans reports. Federal authorities arrested 29-year-old Jonathan Rinderknecht and charged him with arson involving federal property for allegedly setting the Palisades fire. Authorities say the suspect started the Lachman fire which smoldered underground for about a week before winds caused it to surface and become the Palisades fire. NBC News' Liz Kreutz has the story. But NBC Bay Area investigative reporter Hilda Gutierrez looks into the California doctor who at least a dozen patients say failed to pay up on time. After country music superstar Zach Bryan shared a snippet of a new song with lyrics that appeared to criticize ICE, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem called it "completely disrespectful." Bryan posted "this song is about how much I love this country and everyone in it more than anything. When you hear the rest of the song, you will understand the full context." NBC News' Savannah Sellers reports. Country legend Dolly Parton posts a video on social media addressing rumors about her health. In the video, Parton says she wants fans to know that she's "not dying." The new video comes after a post on Tuesday by her sister asking fans to "pray" for Dolly.
