With the government no closer to reopening, military families say they are concerned about potentially missing a paycheck next week. One military mom made a direct plea to Speaker of the House Mike Johnson. NBC News' Ryan Nobles reports. Israelis are celebrating the Gaza deal which calls for Hamas to release all of its hostages. While in Gaza, there is jubilation that a devastating war could soon be over after two years. NBC News' Richard Engel reports. President Trump touted a landmark agreement to end the war in Gaza. Plus, two senior U.S. officials tell NBC News that 200 U.S. troops will be deployed to Israel, but not Gaza, to support an international security force. NBC News' Garrett Haake reports. The Department of Justice says New York's Attorney General Letitia James was indicted on charges of bank fraud and making a false statement to a financial institution. It comes weeks after President Trump called for her to be prosecuted. James called the charges "baseless" and said the president's only goal is "political retribution". In a stunning ruling, the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals halted the execution of Robert Roberson set for October 16. The case now goes back to the lower court for review. Robert Roberson was convicted in 2003 for killing his daughter Nikki. Prosecutors focused on a shaken baby syndrome diagnosis. The 58-year old has long maintained his innocence and his defense has argued that the science behind his conviction is outdated. The Texas Attorney General has stood by Roberson's conviction. Lester Holt has the very latest on the story and how his reporting may have contributed to the decision. NBC News' Laura Jarrett reports.
