Great ending to an okay season.  I wasn't looking forward to a Season Three until the last five minutes of Season Two.

I also didn't like S2 as much as S1. The first season for me was like 8,5-9 and this one was like a small 7. It felt a bit cheap sometimes, rushed, easy,... I dunno.

I agree with the scores and general impression. They tried to do too much for their time allotment. We had an underground revolution, which amounted to kids doing graffiti. There was a presidential assassination/coup, which was barely presented as a meaningful event. I loved Graceland and thought Mailman was ok, but for me, that time would have been better spent in the bunker. Shonda Rhimes says she first writes the finale of Grey's Anatomy then spends the next 20 episodes figuring out how to get there. Feels like they did the same thing here but didn't have 20 episodes to do it in.

My prediction at the end of S1 about disliking the potential Jeremy storyline proved prescient. So Alex was the one who sent the messages about Jane before she was born? If so, why? Was it an attempt to create her or stop her? A personal fixation of mine is the overall lack of complex female antagonist/villains. Sinatra was absolutely perfect, she will be missed. Though it's possible they use some timey-wimey stuff to keep Samantha in the story but it wouldn't be "Sinatra". I was predominantly watching for the machinations of Sinatra and Jane so no real comment on the rest of the characters.  At this point it's 50/50 if I come back for S3, I came for "a serene community inhabited by some of the world's most prominent individuals. But this tranquility explodes when a shocking murder occurs and a high-stakes investigation unfolds", It's getting further and further away from that.

The group transitioning out of the bunker and into the wilds sounds exciting. Hopefully, we get to see season 3 by year's end.
