Interior Decorator

By politely holding the elevator door for a woman in an office building, Larry ends up losing his place before her at the doctor's office, and is delayed 40 minutes. As a result, Larry ends up missing an important meeting with Diane Keaton. At home, Larry and Cheryl are visited by their interior decorator, who has Keaton's phone number but won't give it to Larry even though the actress called and left her number, which Larry couldn't decipher because of static. Thanks to Jeff, however, Larry is able to go to Keaton's house, where he runs into his decorator, gets into a fight, and breaks Diane's lamp -- the same type that was in Porno Gil's pad.

Episode Discussion

Maybe it's just because I watched to many in a row, but I realy didn't like this one. I generally enjoy his misanthropy, but in this one he's just a selfish ass.

As witnessed by his annoyance when the waiting room rules are switched after he throws his tantrum, he's still mad that he didn't get to go first.  Such a child.  It's not other people's fault he doesn't plan ahead and give himself enough time to accomplish everything he needs.  It was particularly annoying that he's an ass to women this whole episode (the parking attendant, woman at the dr's office, the receptionist, the lawyer, the parking attendant, the interior designer, Diane Keaton  & her assistant, etc).  He's annoyed that they won't cede to his desires at all times to make his life easier - despite the fact that in most cases (except for the woman at the drs office) all the other women are there to work with him/assist him.  Because it's inconvenient for him that someone else might have a serious condition that requires a long doctor visit, or that he doesn't keep enough change in his car to pay for parking at a place he obviously visits often (he mentions that both his lawyer & dr are in the same building).
