While a pretty blonde waits for a phone call from her lover to tell her where to meet and pickup plane tickets to America, she begins to receive threatening phone calls from a woman who tells her that she will not be allowed to break up her lover's marriage. The hotel's phone operator insists that these calls were not placed through her switchboard.

The first episode of 'Way Out to deliver a satisfying level of suspense and mystery. Constance Ford does an excellent job portraying Freda Mansfield. Unlike 'Way Out's pilot, "William and Mary," "I Heard You Calling Me" is not all that fantastical or scientific, but much closer to the horror genre. Especially with the nature of the phone calls, which brings the episode to a whole new level.
