According to official twitter account Timeless Writers, NBC and Sony Pictures have approved stories for 2 Hour Event finale to air in December. 1st hour to be written by Lauren Greer, 2nd hour to be written by Arika Lisanne Mittman. Both hours will be directed by John Showalter. Shooting will begin in October.

In a way it's good that it's ending so it doesn't have a chance to overrun it's course and become crap.
I don't think the show got enough exposure. If it started on Netflix we'd probably be awaiting on Season 4.
