'Rescue: Extreme Medics' Cancelled at Channel 4 After 2 Series

Channel 4 has axed documentary series 'Rescue: Extreme Medics' after two series. A Channel 4 spokesman said the decision is unrelated to Channel 4's much-publicised current financial woes but was instead taken due to ratings and the desire to open up space in the schedules. 'Rescue' from Firecrest Films followed elite clinicians saving lives across the whole of Scotland. The latest series ended on 4 June and was watched by an average of around 600,000 overnight viewers per episode.
