There is a YOUTUBE video by The Guitolgist and he claims this show was planned a couple back and that the contestants were required to sign a contract, part of which gave the rights to their music to the show. He said the contract had been revised, but the artists were still getting taken advantage by the network. He suggested that the artists have the contract reviewed by and attorney.
