NL Film and Avrotros announced that filming of their new series ''Commando's'' started in the surroundings of Johannesburg, South Africa last monday. Leads will be played by Werner Kolf, Teun Kuilboer, Kay Greidanus, Egbert Jan Weeber, Chiem Vreeken and Bilal Wahib. This ten-part series is to be expected to air in spring 2020 on NPO 3.
''Ex Commando John de Koning, traumatized by a failed mission in Nigeria, is confronted with a murderer who is trying to kill him and his fellow comrades. He decides to start a fight, but the war he declared threatens him to lose his comrades, his family and himself.''
This thriller drama will be filmed in parts of South Africa, the Netherlands and Belgium and will be directed by Iván López Núñez and Hanro Smitsman
