Barry Keoghan

Born in Dublin, Ireland, Barry Keoghan spent his younger years in foster care, raised by a mother who struggled with drug addiction. Eventually at age 13 he and his brother were placed in the care of extended family. He gained a love for acting appearing in school plays, and from sneaking into cinemas to see films with friends. A casting notice in a shop window led to a role in the 2011 film Between the Canals. That same year he began to study acting at a local drama school, The Factory, and soon landed a recurring role on the Irish soap Fair City.
