Jung Jong Joon

Jung Jong Joon is a South Korean actor. He debuted in 1980 in the 7th KBS public recruitment talent. Due to hi chubby physique, he was mainly active in roles such as a neighborhood uncle, a nerd, or a president. Although he lived in obscurity for a long time, he took on his first leading role in 1986 in a KBS2 drama. He first gained attention in 1995 when he played the role of a charismatic yet kind elementary school teacher in a weekend drama on SBS.

However, in another drama, which aired in the same year, he appeared as Chun Doo-hwan, and while the real character had a thin physique he still got the role. Later, in the movie Those People, he played the role of the Chief of Staff, inspired by Jeong Seung-hwa. It is truly ironic when you think about the relationship between Jeong Seung-hwa and Chun Doo-hwan.
